OUTER HEBRIDES FILM COLLECTIVE

Rural Nations CIC has created an online space to encourage local film makers and those interested in contributing to film productions in the Outer Hebrides to connect, communicate and collaborate.

As facilitator's, Rural Nations provides information on funding opportunities, training and upcoming film events in the area for local filmmakers via this page.

In our role as a production company we are offering to take on 1 or 2 short film productions throughout the year in seeking funding and taking the film through production. Pitches for projects can be made throughout the year by the collective members.

For completed films we can offer routes to exhibition of work through HIFF (Hebrides International Film Festival), BFI Film Clubs in Lewis & Harris, through partner venues in the Hebrides and offer advice on approaching festival citcuits and organisations throughout Europe through an established network.

We aim to encourage the development of independent film production within the islands, by offering support, access to Masterclasses by International film makers, producers and writers, advice on finance for films and work placements on short film projects where possible.
